Question # 2:.
The setting in the book Tom Clancy's Op-Center is mostly in set in North and South Korea. The setting of this book really helps the story flow, and definitely to be more realistic. I believe that that the Korea's, are a good candidate for the plot of trying to settle problems within their two countries. When Tom Clancy decided to put the setting in the Korea's he made the story have a more suspenseful nature. This is because North and South Korea had previously had a very bloody war that the U.S. was involved in. The setting was also a good idea because of the big cities that it is based in. This helps develop the story to become a very urban like story, with people planning and following through with terrorist attacks on U.S. and Chinese troops based in Korea. With the bombing in the sound truck at the press conference about uniting the two countries, it was outside in a city with lots of people around that sets a mood of terrorism also, instead of just trying to kill U.S. troops then it being more of a war. .
