Active Options for Stopping the Stress Spin Cycle.
The article I read was published in Healthtrack. It talks about stress and how it effects everyday life. First the article talks about what causes stress. Some things that cause stress that people may not even be aware of are having a baby, moving into a new home, or changing jobs. It then talks about danger signals and some common signs of stress. People in stress tend to get edgy, unhappy, and forgetful among other things. Next the article discusses how exercise can be an antidote for stress. It says exercise distracts people from their troubles. The article also describes some ways to exercise to relieve stress. In the article, it also discusses what you can and cannot change about your life. Sometimes stress is just part of what you do. The last part of the first section goes into how you must handle yourself and make situations less stressful. Talking negative about yourself will make things a lot more stressful. The second section of the article is the key part. This is how exercise helps fight depression. The article compares depressed people to people with diabetes. It then describes which exercises can help reduce stress and how exercise can fight depression.
.
The dimensions of health discussed in this article are physical, environmental, social, occupational, and intellectual. Physical because it involves exercise with the body. Environmental because if your surroundings change people can get stressed out and depressed. Social because of who is around you. In the article it says relationship troubles can lead to depression. Occupational because of work. People tend to be a little harder on themselves at work and this can lead to excessive stress. Finally, the intellectual part because if you are mentally unstable it can lead to depression.

Fortunately, I have not had any severe depression in my life. I have been depressed, but to a point where I can get over it.
