It says that the results of the study were that the amount of smoke inhaled by nonsmoking bartenders and waiters was way below what is considered dangerous. I could not find this study anywhere, but I did find a study done by the United States Energy Department that says exposures to environmental tobacco smoke may be lower than earlier studies done on bartenders and waiters. This study was the largest study ever of its kind. It was done on 16 cities , which means that the article by Sidney Zion is wrong where it says that it was a 17 city study.
