I believe aging has more to it than being the number of years past by since you were born and the wonderings of how many more years to come till you reach downhill along with it. Yeah sure, the dictionaries define it as "the length of past life or existence" or as "showing signs of age", and yeah you are right that is what it means. Literally. Look closer and you'll notice the word - Mature. Where has the common saying, "the older you get, the wiser you get" gone? It's more like wise is the synonym for old, isn't it? Is that true?.
Isn't that exactly why we want to remain being a kid? So that we would be held responsible for being "wiser", for knowing better, and keeping ourselves from doing anything foolish. That's another thing. Stupid = Fun and vice-versa. It's an equation we learn in childhood. Then we are forced to forget it by peer pressure when we reach adolescence. Remember how you avoided doing things that might make you make a fool out of yourself? But even then we still manage a few purposely for fun. .
