Walking home I see my house standing among all the other houses in my street. I hear the sound of school buses stopping and going through out the rest of my neighborhood, and other cars zooming around the streets.
As I walk up the driveway leading to my house, I see the tree in my front yard, proudly standing tall. The trees branches reach out wide as if they were marking their territory, and the freshly cutgrass beneath it reaching up toward it. As I walk along a small sidewalk outlined with bricks leading to my front door, I see two flower gardens on either side. The nests of pink flowers smell refreshing as I walk past them. I walk up three welcoming steps, also outlined with bricks and see a bench sitting next to the front door. I open the dark wood door with a glass center.
As I walk inside, and step on the soft green rug, I smell a vanilla berry candle burning in the kitchen. I hear the T.V on and see my brother sitting in front of it. I shut the door behind me and look at the stairs leading up to my room. Instead of walking up them, I go straight and step off the rug, now feeling the cold bumpy tile on my feet. As I get closer to the kitchen I smell a feint smell of chicken noodle soup tickling my nose. I have it for a snack and feel the hot liquid run down my throat and taste the sweet broth. As I walk over to the back door, I feel the smooth, soft rug beneath me like I had as I entered my house. .
I step out side and suddenly the sweet candle smell and the soup smell have disappeared and all that I smell is a slight wood smell with some paint fumes still in the air from when my mom and I had painted the deck mid-summer before school started. I hear birds chirping and the sounds of other critters. I look off the deck and see my pool with its bright blue water, and with the leaves from the trees shading the deck slowly falling around it as fall starts. I see mountains of grass surrounding the patio area leaving it stranded in an ocean of grass.
