Michael was woke up by his lovely wife Carol, which made him notice that she was wearing the silk toed stalking he bought her for $1.00 for Christmas. That wasn't all what he bought for her during that lovely Christmas day where he, his wife Carol and their son Peter opened up their presents. Peter enjoyed his roller skates that his dad bought for him for $2.95 but what he enjoyed most was the electric trains his mom bought for him for $18.50 at Millar & Coe. For Carole, along she got with her stalking Michael got her a Mink coat for $650. And for Michael he got what he wanted the most a gold wrist watch for $20 dollars. He wished he bought more presents for his family but The Vancouver Sun didn't print on Christmas Eve or on Christmas.
However, that happy day was 2 days ago and it was reality now. He lost his job yesterday and he couldn't think of what will happen to his family if he can't find a job soon. What will he do? He paid the cashier 5 cents and was going to go straight to the employment section but he saw the headlines got him hooked in. It was about King Tut's tomb being reopened again, he himself as many others have followed the story and have heard rumours of some "curse" in the tomb. But the headline which caught his attention the most was the liquor problem in Vancouver, he was outraged that only hotels and restaurants could only serve liquor.
