Atmospheric

The silver grey curtains were thrust to the dark pink coloured window pailing which lay to the left of the window. The sunlight came pouring in touching everything in sight. It even seeped through the cylindrical bars which stood vertically around the perimeter of my tiny mattress like the prison bars in a jail cell. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes, letting them adjust themselves to the brightness of the light shining through the window. I then carefully stood up in my cot, holding onto the bars and looked around me, smiling.
This is my bedroom. Not only is it my bedroom but it's also the sleeping domain of my parents. After all, I am only a baby! I can't sleep by myself!.
My parents slept in a bed next to me. It was a squishy, bouncy waterbed encased in a dark brown smoothly textured wood frame. I spent many hours of excitement bouncing on that bed, only stopping when the bouncing caused the bed to burst. But it had always been repaired.
The peachy pink painted room was enormous! It wasn't very spacious though because the room had been filled with towering cupboards and bookcases stuffed with books.
I could still sense a faint smell of smoke which was most probably coming from the fireplace which extended out from the wall to my left as I faced the window. That smell was overcome by the smell of pancakes from the kitchen. Who knows, maybe it was my mum's cooking that smelt like smoke.
I turned 180 degrees to my left to look out our old and busted door. My mother was coming to pick me up. It's breakfast time!.
             NIGHT.
After a very exhausting day it was finally time for bed. My mother lay me down in my cot with my bottle filled with milk and then returned to the lounge room to watch television with my father.
As soon as she was gone I stood up in my cot and stared around my room once again. It was an icy cold winter night, so the window had been shut, the curtains had been closed and the blazing fire had been brought to life to fight the cold with it's warmth from behind it's cage.
