Children need the proper health and nutrition to grow and develop. Having more food during school lunch will make this process easier. Most children are not receiving enough to eat at lunch. If students had more to eat, grades would improve tremendously. It takes a lot of mind power for students to focus on schoolwork when their stomachs are growling. Even adding healthy food would be wonderful. Students need to quit worrying about how hungry they are, and a great way to stop this is to add more food to school lunches.

To keep the brain functioning, they need constant top ups of proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. This will influence growth, keep a constant supply of energy, and an ability for the body to fight off infection, as well as allow them the chance to concentrate in class. Recent research shows that nourishing food not only makes a child healthier, it makes him or her emotionally more stable, and it improves school performance. Children who are more nutritionally fit are more likely to have the energy and self-esteem that enhance their ability to learn.
