High school is a very important time in a person's life. It gives them a much-needed education in the classes that you take and in social aspects such as, the way that you interact with people and the manner that you deal with pressure. High school may not seem very important at the time; however, it effects you for the rest of your life depending on how well you perform. Even though high school can be quite difficult to get through, it is possible if you follow a few elementary steps.
The first step is to do well in all the classes that you take. To accomplish this, you first need to pay attention in class. If you don't pay attention when the teacher is teaching then it is almost guaranteed that you will not do well in the class. The second thing is to work outside of the classroom. The things that you need to do out of the classroom include: homework, projects, papers, and studying. Usually, the homework and studying is rather easy and only takes a few minutes to finish. You will receive more than one night to complete papers and projects and you should work on them a little at a time. When you do this, the finished item is better than if you waited until the last minute doing a rushed job. The third thing is to make sure that you comprehend the material that is covered in class; if you don't understand then you are sure to get it wrong on the next quiz or test. To understand everything, you should ask questions in class. If that is still not enough come after school for help. Most teachers are more than willing to stay after school a few minutes to help a student. .
The second step in high school is that you want to be a liked person. You don't have to be the most popular kid to get along with people. Nobody likes to not have any friends and you should try to make as many as possible. In order to make friends you don't need to fit a certain mold and you shouldn't change the way you act just to make friends, always be true to yourself.
