Hoffa the Heroic Leader


            
             The movie "Hoffa" told the story of Jimmy R. He is one of the greatest labor leaders in American history. In his lifetime, he accomplished great feats, and overcame many hard-ships. The movie Hoffa depicted Jimmy Hoffa as a man working for the Teamsters. He was an arduous worker and devoted himself for the better of the workers, the truck drivers, whom where being treated terribly and paid scarcely. The Teamsters was a union for these truck drivers, helping them to get better rights and more pay. .
             Jimmy Hoffa was illustrated as a heroic leader in Hoffa. He determinedly led millions of truck drivers to better rights, no matter what Jimmy Hoffa had to do. Nevertheless, his fight was not solely for the truckers, or even teamsters, but indeed for himself to, as he told Bobby, a trucker whom he befriended, that he will become president of the teamsters, which obviously he did. .
             His journey to presidency may seem short and simple, but in actuality, his rise to the top included many obstacles and hard-ships to overcome. All the while, as he conquered the Teamsters, slowly fighting to the top, he remained a Heroic leader, fighting for all his followers laboriously and continuously. In this paper, the obstacles that Jimmy Hoffa over came and the adversity that he fought of will be discussed, beginning with the largest obstacle that Hoffa overcame, and the most positive of them all: his rise to the top.
             Hoffa's fight to the top begins with a scene where he is only an employee of the Teamsters and he goes around attempting to get people to join the teamsters. He randomly jumps in the truck of his later good friend Bobby. Hoffa spent the whole night in the passenger seat of Bobby's car as he made his nightly deliveries. While with him, Hoffa continuously tried to convince Bobby to join the Teamsters. Hoffa told Bobby how poorly he was being treated and of the possibilities of a larger salary if Bobby actually gained enough courage to leave his company.
