Ever since technology had been dramatically improved in past years, it benefits many ways to the human life. One way of these benefits is for those sterile married couples, the advancement of technologies will make their dream come true. One of the most controversial ways to have a baby is called surrogacy. Many people favoring pro-life are strongly against the surrogacy method because they think it is against moral issues and degrading for a women's body. However there are those that oppose the pro-life's idea and think that as long as the situations are suitable and beneficial towards both sides then it shall be fine. Everyone has different opinions about surrogate mothering method because everyone is raised in different ways and background; so it is hard to judge someone's opinion based on what he or she believes. In this paper is showing there is a double standard argument across surrogacy issue; and most of time it is depends on the situation to determine whether surrogate mothering is right or wrong. .
So, what exactly is surrogate mothering? Surrogate mothering and contract pregnancy are terms that describe one of two arrangements. Situation one concerns a woman agreement to be artificially inseminated with the sperm of a man in order to bear a child for him and his wife and will be compensated for her services. The second situation is where the eggs are harvested from one woman, fertilized in a Petri dish by her husband's sperm, and implanted in the womb of another woman, who brings the resulting fetus to term and is compensated for her service. (page 31, Warnke). Surrogate mothering cases are not easy issues to be dealt with because it contains many important components such as morals, outcome of pregnancy, media views, relationship between surrogate mother and fetus, also between surrogate mother and sterile couple and many more to come. .
