This diversity could help in many ways and could assist the group in becomming more successful. A diverse team can bring many different aspects and can create many creative ideas. While diversity in a team can be beneficial, it can also lead to conflicts. These conflicts can be very limiting to the success of teams. Some of the commonly known conflicts that may arise are; personality conflicts, gender conflicts, perception of participation conflicts, and conflicts related to individual interests versus group interests. Although these conflicts may at first appear difficult to resolve, strategies and steps exist that can be taken to seek resolution.
One major factor that frequently arises in team conflicts is individual personalities. Every person in a team has a different personality. Sometimes these differing personalities clash. Personality conflicts are also known as "A-type" conflicts.
