My favorite place to go during the summer with friends and family is a little resort in beautiful upstate New York. It's located in a small farming town in Cairo. While driving down the road which leads to the resort I begin to feel excited. The smell of fresh air and the cool wind in my face make me want to arrive there quicker. As we pull up the entranceway, the first thing I see is the main house which was made to look like a medieval castle. On the grounds there are many things to do: swim, fish, and attend the clubs at night. There are four giant pools filled with swimmers, and as we get closer, we can start to smell coconut oil and chlorine. The large fishing pond is located at the far end of the property. When I am ready to fish, I reach into my coffee can and pull out a slimy worm to put on my hook. From the pond we can smell dinner roasting on the grill. We head back to wash up in our room and seat ourselves for a delicious dinner. For dinner we have a huge, juicy steak that melts in our mouths when we bite into it. After dinner we all head to the club for that night's entertainer. Sometimes it's a comedian, other times it's a singer; we never really know until we enter the club. One night we knew there was a singer because we could hear the beautiful songs from the main entrance. When we entered the club, there were people of all ages dancing and having a good time. The lights in the club flashed to the rhythm of the music. That night we had so much fun and met many new friends. Because of all that happens there, this is my favorite place to visit during the summer.
