Blood Will Follow Blood

"My lifestyle determines my death style. In William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar Brutus proves this to be true when he dies in the same fashion in which he lived. Through out the play Brutus displays characteristics of nobility, exhibits traits of naivety and demonstrations loyalty in life as well as death.
To begin with, Brutus displays characteristics of honor through out the play. His valor is first apparent when he wants to spare Antony's life even though Cassius says he should be killed. Brutus argues that it is unnecessary blood shed, "Our course will seem to bloody, Caius, Cassius to cut the head off and then hack the limbs." this shows that Brutus is gracious and companionate. Latter during an argument with Cassius over the immoral act of accepting bribes he is shown to have good morals, "Let me tell you, Cassius, you yourself are much considered to have an itching palm to sell and mart your offices for gold to undeservers." this is important because strong morals are an important trait of someone who is noble. Finally, his integrity is displayed a third time when he refuses to be made a prisoner of war, and has Starto assist his suicide by holding out his sword and throwing himself upon it, "No, Cassius, no. Think not, thou noble Roman, that ever Brutus will go bound to Rome. He bears too great a mind." Brutus has too much pride to be humiliated in the streets of his beloved Rome. .
             2.
In addition to nobility, Brutus possesses the weaker trait of gullibility. Brutus's flaw shows first when he does not realize that the anonymous notes being sent to him are not from citizen who favor him, but Cassius, who is attempting to trick him in to joining the conspiracy by flattering him. In Cassius's letters, he suggests to Brutus that action needs to be taken and that a wrong needs to be corrected with out directly mentioning Caesar.
