By 1936 women had the right to vote for 16 years and had proven better lobbyists than politicians. In the years before women's right to vote, women stood strong as one voice, fighting for their rights of equality. Once gaining their rights and becoming part of the political society, women had shown their feminine traits. They were prude, bossy and fussy. Women did not stand behind each other or impose political views, and many didn't even register to vote. Due to their ignorance of the political world, women voted as their husbands did, thus, just giving away their vote rather than voting for what they believed in. today this still seems to have little change. Women became more organized, this harmed the women's movement because their unity was based on a weak foundation like motherhood and other more occult characteristics that did not maintain a bond in later years. Women were ignorant to public affairs. They made many contradictions like turning against their sisters in the women's party that opposed war and accepting American participation in a war they themselves opposed. This form of practical politics harmed the moral quality of the women's movement. They focused themselves on politics and ignored what controlled women's lives, economics and social and domestic affairs, with little concern of what to expect after the federal amendment on war was passed. This caused a decline of feminism in the 20's. Women's fight for victory was desperate, they suffered many setbacks but victory was less demoralizing than defeat, but they were victorious with their morale intact. Women had devoted themselves to the movement in order to give their lives meaning. After their victory, women found it hard to convert to a peaceful economy. Other women's organizations were formed which caused total disrupt amongst women. By the end of the 20's women had mismanaged the economy and created a hostile society that caused the women's party to diminish and in turn causing the movement to die in the 20's.
