The Yellow Wallpaper

At first when I started this story I thought it was just something that was written by some crazy lady, but actually I really liked it. It was way cool how she turned out to be the woman in the wallpaper. I knew that the paper represented her a few pages before the end of the article, but I didn't realize that the author was actually going to refer to the woman she saw as I.
It was cool how she was determined to rip down the paper and in a sense break free of the "bars" that had been created for her. I didn't understand why she was creeping though. What was it that she was hiding from? I found myself asking this question after I finished reading it for the first time. I haven't decided if she was trying to deny her "nervous condition" or just people in general, when she was creeping away from things and not letting people see her. .
The fact that she wasn't allowed to do anything is what I think ultimately her prison was. She wanted to write even though it made her tired, but she wasn't permitted to do this. Maybe she could be physically ill enough to not write, but apparently she wasn't. She also threw away the key, which I feel signified her health. At that moment when she got rid of the key and realized that the woman was herself she went crazy. Maybe throwing the key away was representative of the fact that she felt no help could be given to her.
This was a really cool story and much more than some article about a woman who hated yellow wallpaper. I really enjoyed reading it and hope we have just as or more interesting things to do papers on in the future.
