Women as Leaders


Women believe that sharing and relaying a problem present a prospect to delve into, expand and or fortify the relationship with the person they are interacting with. Women are more concerned about how problems are solved than solving the problem. For women, solving a problem can greatly impact on their emotional state. Its weather they feel closer and less alone or whether they feel distant and less connected. Solving problems can strengthen or weaken a relationship. Most men are not considering emotions when solving an issue.
             Men approach problems differently than women do. To men solving a problem presents a chance to demonstrate their competence, their tenacity, and their commitment. How the problem is solved is not as important as solving it effectively and efficiently. Men have a tendency to dominate and to assume authority in a problem solving process. They set aside their feelings provided a pecking order was agreed upon in advanced. They are very task oriented and little distracts them from the task at hand. This is why they do not attend well to the quality of the relationships while solving problems.
             Why are women and men so completely different in cognitive reasoning? Well for starters, Women have four times as many neurons. These neurons connect the right and left side of their brain. This discovery provides clear evidence that supports the hypothesis that men utilize their left brain to solve problems. Not only solve problems but only one at a time. Women have access to both halves of their brains during problem solving. Women can essentially multi task because of this and are quite happier performing multiple activities at a time. .
             Women as Leaders More and more women are rising to the leadership challenge, even in some of the most male-dominated industries. The increase in the number of women attending university, in the workplace or starting their own business has demonstrated to men who own businesses that women can be both managers and mothers, thus showing their male counterpart that women can in fact "do it all".
