Life

It seems that everyone's one goal in life is to be happy. They"ll do anything to get there, not stopping to think about what they are doing, or who they are hurting. The catch is everyone who seeks "true happiness" without stopping to think of others is never truly happy with their life. To truly be happy you must be happy with the person that you are and with what you have. Life isn't going to handed to you on a golden platter. Riches aren't everything. The richest people aren't always the happiest people, they are mostly the ones who are mean and ruthless and don't stop to think of others, so who would want to be around them? No one. Instead they have to fill the void with material things like cars, boats, big homes and nice clothing. Sure these things cause happiness, but only for a short period of time. How can you truly enjoy something without having anyone to share it with? This sends them into a never ending cycle of false happiness causing them to become more and more bitter, the more bitter they become the harder it is for them to sit back and see that true happiness comes from with in and not materialistic things. An example of this would be Mrs. Debouse from To Kill a Mocking Bird. She was a bitter old lady who sat in her house all day and tried to make life miserable for Scout and her brother. She was rude and nasty, but really the reason for this was that deep down inside she really wanted someone to love her and take time to talk to her. .
People always seem to run away from obstacles that are set in front of them. Don't fear life but embrace it; hardship, happiness, heartache and loss are what shape the path that lays ahead of us. If you run away from things how will you ever learn? You may be missing out on an important part of your life. You need to learn from your mistakes. I can personally relate to this because I never take chances, sometimes this causes me to miss out on life.
