             Manson felt as if no one has ever really cared for him. His teachers described him as having no trust in no one and did good work only for those from whom he figured he could obtain something from. Manson recollects the story "Mom was in a café one afternoon with me on her lap. The waitress, a would be mother without a child of her own jokingly told my mom she'd buy me from her. Mom replied, A pitcher of beer and he's yours'. The waitress set up the beer, mom stuck around long enough to finish it off and left the place with out me. Several days later my uncle had to search the town for the waitress and take me home-.
             Charles Manson criminal record spanned from 1951 when he was of only the age of 17 for violating the Dyer Act in Utah and was remanded to Federal custody, He was discharged from the Washington National Training School for Boys on October 24, 1951. On January 18, 1952, he was sentenced to four years, eight months at a Federal Reformatory in Petersburg, Virginia, for juvenile delinquency. On September 22, 1952, he was transferred to the Federal Institution at Chillicothe, Ohio. Mason knew that what he was doing was wrong but he just did not care. No one had cared for him so why should he care about anyone else. This sort of mentality is what helped form Charles Manson, one of the most remembered serial killers ever. His petty crimes as a young man made him accustomed to criminal behavior. His adult criminal record is endless. From 1955 to 1969, he had been arrested 27 times.
