To calculate the cost to move to Miami Beach, I called a local U-Haul service located on Avenue L. The lady gave me all the information that I needed. Finding the information for this project was fairly easy; thanks to the internet, U-Haul, and especially Mr. Crowder.
Miami Beach is a 7.1 square mile island city in Southern Florida. Year around, Miami has a hot climate which lets you enjoy the warm water throughout the entire year, despite some of the storms that they have. The island is split into three separate districts: South Beach, Middle Beach, and North Beach. South Beach has experienced a tremendous change over the past ten years. It has world-class beaches, great shopping, and the best nightlife around. Middle Beach is mainly an area of single-family homes which include condominiums and hotels. North Beach is made up of both low-rise multi-family and single family neighborhoods and is much cheaper to live. This section is mainly for residency. .
Miami Beach is a vibrant residential community where people live, work, and play. I want to move to Middle Beach, where over 80% of the condominium owners are permanent residence. The re-sale price per square feet ranges from $120-205 for a condo. The price depends on the ocean views, amenities, year constructing, size, and subsequence renovation work. I want a 2,000 square foot condo with an ocean view, which will cost me around $405,000. By the time I move out there, I will already have my degree, therefore, I will be able to work full time. To move to Florida, I will rent a 24 ft. U-Haul truck, which will move a 3-4 bedroom house, and tow my car behind. For $3,572.00 plus $154.00 for insurance, I will get 9 days to move and 3,020 miles. For every day that I go over, it will be $40 each day and $0.40 per mile. I doubt that I will go over since the whole trip is only 2,845.48 miles from my house and the estimated time is 46 hours and 24 minutes driving straight through.
