Investigation

It was a hot sunny Friday afternoon, everyone in the class was tired because they had just had a double lesson of P.E. None of them were listening to Dr Binns, they biology teacher, apart from Sarah Barker, the class swot. "Right now everyone, come to the front and hand in your homework."" Sarah rushed to the front of the dark classroom clutching her five-page essay on the respiratory system. "Thank you Sarah- said Dr Binns flicking through the essay, looking at the tiny writing on each side of the papers. "Come on everyone, quickly, quickly, we don't have all day-. In time nearly everyone had handed in their homework. "Right, I think I have everyone's-, after a short pause Dr Binns started again, -Ah, Miss Granger, I don't seem to have yours."" Dr Binns looked up and saw a very small thin girl. "I'm sorry sir,"" she said in a quiet squeaky voice, "I can't seem to find it in my school bag-. -Excuses, excuses " Dr Binns muttered under his breath, "That is one mark to you Miss Granger,"" Dr Binns said disappointingly, ticking a box in his register, "Another mark and you'll have detention-. "Yes sir- and then Harriet Granger sat down on her wooden squeaky chair.
When class 5b had come out of the biology lab after the bell had gone, Harriet came running up to her two best friends, Bethany Trudeau and Becky Moore. Bethany was a tall, thin, blonde haired girl whose face was covered in freckles. Becky was average size, brown gelled back hair who also had a few freckles. "Where's your homework Harriet?- said Becky. "I don't know. I put it in my bag just before tennis at lunch and then it just disappeared. I'm going to have to do it all again tonight because I didn't save it on the computer-. After they had talked about the missing homework for a while they moved onto the topic of having R.S. next with the new teacher. People had told them that he was tall and scary. Also that if you missed one homework you would get a week detention.
