On the cake there is an image of my two best friends (Justine and Tatiana) and me. The cake was for Tatiana on her 17th birthday. Justine and I had a surprise party for her. Her actual birthday was on a Thursday but we had the surprise party on a Saturday. .
The actual image on the cake was taken on Tatiana's actual birthday. When I slipped up and told Tatiana of our plans of having a party for her, I covered it up by telling her we couldn't have the party and instead we were going to have just a little get together. On the day of her birthday about 20 of us got together at her house. We hung out, played video games, listened to music and acted silly. Basically we just bummed around. Everyone kept hinting at her about the surprise party but she never caught on. It was fun because we are having this get together just to mislead her that we are not going to have a party for her. We even bought a cake for the get together since it was the day of her birthday! We had to have the get together because our friends felt that it is the best thing to do since I already blew our cover. I was always with Tatiana since we work together so it was so hard for me to keep the secret from her. But we did a good job of covering up because she was really surprised when we had the party that Saturday for her.
We had the surprise party in Tatiana's house with permission from her parents. Her parents were a great deal of help to Justine and me in doing this surprise party for her. They provided the venue for the party; we had it at their house. They also prepared the food for the party. And most importantly they helped in keeping Tatiana out of the house so we could prepare everything for the party. Justine and I bought the balloons, decorations, and cake. Justine made the invitations (which were kind of a disaster cause she forgot to add the address). Planning for the party was pretty tough.
On the night of the party her family arranged for her Aunt Maria to take her out for dinner in the city.
