A man without dream is like a boat without power, wandering in a boundless ocean and never knowing where it should go. However, once his dream found, it is definitely worthwhile to spend all his life to make it come true. My coming to this university just represents a dream's fulfillment, although it is only my first step. The dream, being a linquistist, has been kept inside my heart since I joined a English club and was elected as the president of that club two years ago. It is a lifelong learning club for all the members who love English and who want to sharpen their speaking ability by saying English only during the whole gathering. Every Monday evening starting from 7:00PM, we spent almost two hours at World Trade Cener Taichung discussing about various kinds of interesting topics. Every one during the meeting was encougaged to speak out his or her opinions to the questions relevant to the topics no matter their English is good or not. Attending the meeting there makes you feel as if you were in a foreign country trying to use every mean to express your ideas by using English in order to survive. I did enjoy those beautiful days with them. We did this week after week, then month after month, and even year after year. To my surprise, I gradually found that I had fallen in love with English some time which I did not know before. Hoping to become a linguistist, I then decided to pursue English as my second major for the rest of my life. Since I have to work on day time, I therefore have no choice but choose the evening school of National Chung- Hshing University as a place to fulfill my dream. After spending three months in preparing the entrance exam, I finally made it to be a student of NCHU and begin my career in prusuing my dream there after.3 .
One day chatting with my wife in the living room after dinner, I told her one thing that had been always in my mind for quite a long time.
