Deceiding on a Career Choice

67.
All of these orientations fit well into graphic design because to be a designer you must have certain skills to make you capable for this type of work. Individuals in the design field must be creative, imaginative, persistent, and able to communicate ideas, concepts, and functions to specific audiences, including divisions such as race, age, gender, etc. (Quenk 47) Assuming styles in design can change so rapidly, you must be open for change and willing to dive into something even if the ground underneath you seems a little shaky. I tend to focus on possibilities and am normally insightful and enthusiastic. I learn actively by imagining, creating, or writing. Personally, I like to do things my own creative way and love to get positive feedback and praise, but will also take criticism. As for in a work setting, through the Myers-Briggs testing I fit right into the grouping I assumed that I would. I was in the ENFJ category, which meant that I had these effects in a work setting: extraversion, intuition, feeling and judging. In a nutshell this category described me as liking variety and action and developing them through and with other people; I follow their inspirations but also use my values to understand and decide what the outcome should be. I usually start with the big picture and fill in the facts, but that doesn't mean that I am not following a plan or getting things settled. I feel supported by structure and schedules and seem to reach closure by deciding quickly. I am responsive and responsible; I can present a proposal or lead a group discussion with ease and tact.
