Parent Conversation Project

My grandmother's response was similar to mine. She said the greatest hope is hoping that they will make lots of amazing accomplishments. And that applies to the joy. She said that if they do make lots of amazing accomplishments that will be her greatest joy. My grandfather's answer was that his greatest joy would be to see his child come out to be well-qualified with a good education, nice social life, good family and nice job. When we talked about this question I noticed that my grandparents were serious. Not exactly serious, but they looked as if they wanted me to realize that their answers were directed toward me. It seemed like they wanted me to know that this is what they wanted of me. That it would be a great joy if I were to succeed in life. .
The next question was, "What do you think are the greatest fears and most difficult parts of being a teenager." For this question my grandmother said that she thinks the most difficult part of being a teenager is not being able to get along with your parents and not being able to live up to your parents" expectations. My grandfather said that the most difficult part of being a teen is being a good Christian. He said that it's a difficult thing for teenagers because they really don't think about it because we"re always worried about partying all the time, but religion is important. He also said that some other difficult things are deciding not to smoke, do drugs, have sex, etc. He said that matters that involve peer pressure are difficult parts of being a teenager. I feel that the hardest thing about being a teenager is dealing with our self-consciousness. We are always .
trying to impress the next person and doing that is difficult. We always try to look our best for everyone else except for ourselves. We care a lot about appearance which is stressful trying to look good for everyone. I also agree with both of my grandparents. Being a teenager it is hard to get along with our parents and it is also difficult dealing with peer pressure.
