High school is a time when we explore life a little deeper, and decide who and what we are. We sometimes get involved into things we are not ready for, such as sex, and it affects both partners" lives more than they expected. After we do encounter our new experiences we then realize that there are consequences to them, and find out that they are too much for us to handle and we were not ready for them. Then we begin to think that maybe what we did had more effect on us than just physical, it had a moral aspect to it, and that maybe we made a bigger mistake than we first thought. Most decisions in life are not thought through and we do not realize anything bad can happen to us until after the decision is made. This case is much of the same and it shows how we as humans are at much fault.
My life can be described as full of mistakes and wrong decisions that I have made, and I have had to learn from those mistakes or experiences, and this instance is no different. One experience that I had that dramatically changed my life was when I almost became a father; I was never prepared for this, and it changed my whole outlook on life. My girlfriend, of 2 years, and I fell into the deception that most teenagers fall into, that sex is not that big of a deal. So we decided to take our relationship to another level, one we thought would bring us closer together. We though sex was the way to take the relationship to the highest level. So being immature and acting purely on our developing hormones we ventured into the ultimate stage of our relationship, sex. After we had made the decision we both realized that maybe it was not the smartest one. That it did not bring us closer together, but maybe put distance in-between us. Now when we were around each other it was different because we were not ready for such a dramatic change in our relationship. Afterwards I felt that I had to be more mature, act more like an adult instead of a teenager.
