Good evening class, Im here tonight to introduce a philanthropist, meaning a human kind loving person. His name is Yung Kwong, he prefers to be called by his initials YK since it is much simpler to pronounce for many people. He is a current graduate of Kitslano secondary high school. YK immigrated to Canada when he was around the age of 12 and lived in the city of Toronto for four years. During the four years in Toronto, he was a member of the air cadet where he learned the knowledge of aviation such as repairing and piloting an airplane. After living in Toronto for four years, YK moved to Vancouver due to his parent's decision. However YK regrets moving to Vancouver because most of his friends which he met and associate earlier were back in Toronto. YK has many different kinds of hobbies, such as practicing soccer, jogging, sitting in front of the computer for many hours doing web design or chatting with friends and going to Chapters and stay there from opening to closing. He also enjoys volunteering at different places because it's a good way to meet new people and learn new things. YK's favorite novels are Lord of the rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, Good to Great by Jim Collin and October sky by Homer Hickam. The dream that YK wishes to pursue in the future is becoming a doctor someday after acquiring a degree in medical science. There's a poem in which YK uses to portray himself; the poem is called Love song of Alfred Prufrock written by T.S. Elliot. I will now read a short part of the poem.
No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be; .
Am an attendant lord, one that will do .
To swell a progress, start a scene or two, .
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool, .
Deferential, glad to be of use, 115.
Politic, cautious, and meticulous; .
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse; .
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous .
Almost, at times, the Fool. .
This part of the poem describes a person feeling not only the desperation and loneliness, but also confusion in life.
