Made in America

Tash ckqunne cummauchenaûmisz?- How long have you been sick? .
Ntannetéimmin- I will be going. (4).
Most impressively, there are several major strengths of this chapter. The first is the history. Bill Bryson did a lot of very in-depth research before he wrote this chapter and it shows. Another strength of the first chapter is examples. He uses examples to show the reader how the language has become what it is today. Still another strength of this chapter is that it is a good introduction to the book as a whole. It starts off the book with some fairly old events that set up to the second chapter. .

If any linguistics book can be interesting, then this one is. If there is any other weakness of this chapter, then it would have to be the fact that it focuses too much on Squanto. Thanks to him, the future of English in New England was assured. The question of what kind of English it was, and would become, lies at the heart of what follows.
Second of all, I read was the second chapter of the book. It is entitled "Becoming Americans-. The main purpose of the second chapter is to tell the reader about the period of history between the signing of the Mayflower Compact and the Declaration of Independence.
