Creation Myth: How the Turtle Got its Shell.
Long before civilization was created the world was a tranquil place. The oceans and rivers were calm, the forests were green and fresh, the sun was bright and the air was crisp. A woman of natural beauty stood over the land and gazed at her creation in and was pleased. This woman created the oceans and rivers with the tears from her eyes, created the forests from the strands of her hair, and scented the air with the breath of her mouth. She created the animals from rocks and stone. These animals were incredibly special in that they were able to talk to one another. Some animals were good, and some were evil, but they kept the world in balance. The animals of the forest were at harmony, as well as the animals in the oceans and rivers. But one day in the jungle an animal had grown curious. The bear was a great animal that the woman has created, as a cub they were soft and warm, and as they grew up they would become great in size, but very lazy. Many of the bears ate fruits, plants and other smaller animals. The bear's worst enemy was the fierce Lion who was the "King of the jungle". .
One day a bear, just about the size of a large boulder was bathing in the fresh, ice cold river. As the bear was bathing he grew hungry. He had traveled a long way from the forest, where he usually eats the smaller animals and his fruits, and he was to lazy to travel all the way back. As the bear looked around for food he noticed the fish in the river. The fish were very vivid and beautiful. The bear had never ate fish before and wondered what it would taste like. As the bear wonder, he grew more and more hungry, as he grew more and more hungry, he became more and more cranky. Even though the bear knew he shouldn't eat the fish because they were so beautiful, he decided to eat them anyway. Since the bear had never eaten fish before it was difficult for him to capture them, but before long the bear finally caught a fish.
