With our society and the way men think the thought of fighting this man clearly entered Andy's mind. This man was trying to make himself look better, when he obviously already had a Windsor tie and was putting on more "airs- than anyone in the bar. However, Andy fights this conflict by fighting some shots of whiskey. With the emphasis society puts on wealth it can force many people into not exactly telling the truth about ones income. When someone meets a girl who I swell dressed and well mannered and is accompanied by others look and act the same it is thought that they expect a very wealthy man to pick them up and marry them. That leaves those like Andy out of the picture. Money is important in our society so that the females can go out buy lots of things, because no one likes spending money on things more than girls. When meeting a girl it is believed that if she thinks that you are capable of buying her whatever she wants and you are nice to her then she will like you. Andy was aware of this but he wasn't in such a fortunate position so he felt he had to lie like a fool to a girl he feels is "the one."" .
             Conflicts between two individuals begin with Andy's family not wanting him to leave for work. Nobody wants to see their family leave, weither it's for work, school, or .

Throughout the story Andy had to tell his mother lies, because she "didn't know any better,"" and to keep her from being sad about him being away for a long time. In the movie the conflict between him and Burt was began with Andy not knowing how to care for a horse, and this was there job, taking care of horses. Burt was obviously old and experienced at what he did weither it was taking care of horses or swearing or drinking, or even "beating some guy who got to gay.
