Memory

About three weeks ago my friend Gina and I decided to go on a trip. We wanted to go snowboarding, so we headed out to Vermont. Seven hours later we arrived at Vermont and then about twenty minutes later we arrived at our hotel. We checked in, had some diner and called it a night.
The following morning we headed out for Killington Ski Resort. It took us about an hour to get there, and that was speeding a little bit. We then looked for parking and proceeded on to buying our lift tickets. Once inside you had to get on your board, well not completely. You had to put one leg on the board and use the other to push, sort of like you were riding a skateboard.
After pushing myself around the mountain for a while trying to get a feel for the board, I noticed all the lifts had very long lines, all except for one. I had wondered to myself why there was no line but didn't question it and just got on the lift. I figured it was the bunny slopes or some little mountain that nobody wanted to go on. Well I was right about the part of nobody wanting to get on it, but for the wrong reason. It wasn't because it was a bunny slope, it was because it was a double diamond back. The biggest, most dangerous slope on the mountain. .
Once I got to the top I asked one of the ski patrol personnel if there was another way down and he replied "no". So I had no choice but to try to snowboard my way down. Needless to say I was falling left and right. In the beginning I couldn't stay on my board for more then a couple of seconds. Has the day progressed I got better and was able to stay on my board longer. Believe or not this is where the real problem began. Since I was able to stand longer I would pick up more speed, and the problem with that was, that I couldn't stop or turn. Well eventually I came to a fork in the mountain, you either had to go left or right or stop, which I could do neither of. I decided to try and turn, didn't work.
