            Vietnam War was a different type of war it caused a lot of controversy atthe time and has since. It was more unpopular than other wars. Therefore alarge majority of people opposed the war, while others support it. Thenation was split over Vietnam.?.
             The groups that opposed the war involved:.
             The labour Government.
             The reason why the labour Government was against the war is because theyhad no fear of communism or it being a threat to Australia. .
             Conscripts.
             They thought that young men being forced to go to war was cruel, itdisturbed their lives. They also thought that the enormous amount of moneyused on the war should be spent on helping Australians and that it was anoverseas war has nothing to do with us.?.
             Protest movements.
             There were a number of protest movements that opposed the war including:?.
             Trade Unions.
             They are people that protect the workers in the workplace. The cause whythey were the opposition is because they believed that Vietnam's workerswere being killed and there would not be enough young men of working agein Australia or Vietnam. They said thatworkers killing workers - is just notright?.
             Students.
             Mostly University students were part of the protests.
