Socrates and Piety

If Socrates would to hear Euthyphros definition of , "Pious acts are pious because they are loved by the gods, not loved by the gods because they are already pious". Socrates would definitely counter his definition by simply asking Euthyphro to briefly explain what acts he thinks are pious and impious to the gods? I also feel that he would make Euthyphro explain in detail what kind of acts would not only please the Gods but how would it please them. .
Socrates in the early pages asks Euthyphro something very similar towards this. He asks Euthyphro to explain to him how it is one god may love something or someone and how one god may hate something or someone. He makes a good solid statement and question here because Euthyphro is left out to dry, he doesn't have an answer to this. Finally both individuals come to Socrates descion that there is a combination between both good and bad acts. If Euthyphro would come with an answer it would probably be something still undefined and very much unjustified with Socrates.
In both dialogues of "Apology" and Crito" I feel Socrates views death as simply a true blessing. At first he feels that death can be a somewhat of uncharted territory because it's a place of the "unknown". He doesn't know what the unknown will bring him. But he later comes to the conclusion and figures out that theres only two possible conditions about the afterlife, that it's either something or nothing at all. He then later starts to boast about once he enters the after the life he will have the gracious opperunity to talk with different philoisphers who have died before him. He relishes the opportunity for this. He also mentions that philosophers like him cant wait to die beacuase he feels that the "physical body" gets in the way of the individual beacuase instead of learning knowledge, people tend to satisfy their bodies more physically than mentally. At times he does contradict himself because he mentions to the people that they should obey the laws of the land.
