In the United States there are races from around the world that come to America in search of all different types of happiness and success. Because there are so many different cultures and races that come here, some American's feel they are taking over the country. People come to the United States because of the opportunities that exist; we are called the Land of Opportunities. Unfortunately, American's are out of work, homeless, and cannot make enough money to feed their children. Therefore, American's may feel discrimatiave about foreigners coming into our homeland and receiving jobs that American's should have. Also, the Hard-working Americans feel that it is not fair that races that come from around the world and receive special privileges in order to "feel comfterable," while living in America. These special privileges can include the law that if a company doesn't hire an African-American, that meets all the qualifications, or not enough of them; the company is considered to be a racist bisnuess and can be sued. .
Minorities that want to move into neighborhoods or live in apartments receive special privileges known as section 8 or government financing. This makes the Americans more discriminative because many American's are unemployed, are homeless, or live in low-income neighborhoods. More jealousy arises from American's when a minority moves into a middle class neighborhoods the neighbors feeling that they will ruin their development by doing things like having loud parties, not taking care of their property, and bringing "un-wanted" guests into the neighborhood. The way most cultures dress and act is very different to what we are used to here in America and we do not want to change because everyone wants to fit in and be like everyone else. Middle Easterner's wear sari's, dots on their foreheads, pray all the time, and eat what Americans call "weird food." Americans discriminate against the fact that they do these things and make fun of them for their culture because they don't wear Abercrombie & Fitch, listen to rock and roll, and/or try to be and look like the rich and famous.
