Abortion

This can be seen from the teachings of the Bible. "Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you. I have written your name on the palms of my hands." (Isaiah 49:15-16) Here God says each life is precious. In the Old Testament it tells us how sacred life is and how important life is "God created human beings in his own image." Catholics could use these teachings to tell others how each individual life is sacred. .
The New Testament teaches Catholics to protect life at all times. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart love your neighbour as you love yourself." (Luke 10:27) This tells us to respect others. Also in the Old Testament it tells us to protect and respect life. "Thou shall not kill." (Exodus 20:13) These teachings are designed to influence a Roman catholic when discussing abortion and because we believe in the Sacred Writings, we believe that what it says is the truth.
             .
Another area of teaching a Catholic might use while discussing abortion is Church Documents. They could use Church Documents as they explain the Churches view on abortion. The Church Documents also recognise important quotes from the Bible. "Human life is sacred." This quote is taken from Humanae Vitae. This is important for Catholics because Catholics should recognise this fact, as human life even if it is weak is a special, sacred gift from God. Therefore it should never be taken away from anyone. "Life must be respected." Gaudium et Spes says what we are constantly told throughout the New Testament.

Also Catholics could use teachings from Church leaders and the authority of the church. The Church leaders regularly meet together to help Catholics in their faith. The church council help Catholics decide what to do in various situations. They use teachings from the Bible and the Church Documents to teach us that all life is a precious gift from God and must be protected at all times.
