The way I see it, style is the personal signature of the artist, like a fingerprint. Style can be seen in art or in the way a person is dressed. In today's culture, there are many styles. People nowadays are becoming increasingly expressive with the way they dress and how they present themselves as individuals. In my opinion, style has become more and more complex in recent years. Although some styles have become somewhat of a spectacle, it is always refreshing to see what the next person comes up with. From conservative to the extreme, style is just another part of culture. .
It would take a certain kind of creativity and intelligence to come up with some of these radical ideas; genius if you will. One definition of the term "genius" that Websters Dictionary provides is "A person who has an exceptionally high intelligence quotient, typically above 140." However, Simone de Beauvoir once said, ""One is not born a genius, one becomes a genius." Indeed, it is not merely the quick intellect that makes a genius, but inspiration and creativity. The way I see it, a genius is not merely someone with a high IQ, but someone with inspiration and creativity, one who is able to ignite new ideas and perhaps even change our world. Without certain individuals in our history as mankind, where would we be? We might not have inventions such as the automobile or the airplane. Such radical ideas have brought to this world new innovations and the inspiration to seek out new ones. With the growing number of people in working society, the chance of new things to come is certain. Everyday people are pushing the envelope, bring with them new ideas and new concepts. With that said who knows where we will be in the next decade. If you were alive a little over a hundred years ago, and you asked someone if it was possible to fly, they would turn to you and say you"re crazy. It is just some of these things that make me feel confident that there can be no problem we cannot solve with a lot of dedication coupled with inspiration.
