Service Development

Questions that only require a yes or no answer do not allow marketing managers to learn anything about their customers or their needs. .
The remaining questionnaires will be structured to retrieve information from patients. These questions may include: "In what way did Mobile Medical Services teams assist you?" or "How could the Mobile Medical Services teams be more effective in assisting you?" Once again, these questions are asking very specific questions that cannot be answered with merely a yes or no answer. They require answers that a marketing manager will be able to utilize when implementing a marketing plan.
Market research must be an ongoing process. Data will be collected to ensure the organization is meeting the customer's needs. Surveys are helpful and can provide additional data after the service has been provided; therefore Mobile Medical Services will have a database with names and addresses of all patients cared for. This database can generate the names of the patients to allow the surveys to be mailed out to their homes. Once again, several of the questions on the surveys should solicit specific information, not just yes or no answers.
A secondary research process can be initiated by utilizing the Internet. Marketing managers can check competitor's information and evaluate the effectiveness in comparison to Mobile Medical Services. More importantly, similar organizations from across the country can be evaluated. Some organizations may feel this is a way of stealing ideas from other companies. I disagree. I see it as a way to observe what is working within your particular field and also as a way to make businesses stronger.
Mobile Medical Services will place differentiation and positioning as high priorities within the marketing plan. There may be many organizations that are similar in appearance, similar in services offered, and similar in pricing. Our marketing team will take great strides to come up with ways that will set our organization apart from the competitors.
