Polluting air with any kind of alien substance such as carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, carbon mono-oxide, hydrogen sulphide, volatile organic compounds, chlorine, chloroform, chlorine dioxide, etc and making environment dangerous to live for living species is called air pollution.
What causes air pollution?.
There is more than one thing that contributes in polluting air. Some of them are listed below.
Agriculture industry.
Fermentation of corn generates ethanol and releases fugitive emmision. Odour from poultry and livestock also contribute to air pollution from this source.
Automotive industry, motor and vehicles.
This source is one of the major contributor in causing air pollution. Fine droplets from the over spray of paint spray application and the accompanying from automotive industry cause air pollution along with carbon dioxide and carbon mono-oxide produced by motor vehicles every day.
Cement industry.
Gives out fire particles of dust, calcium phosphate, titanium dioxide, and silicon etc from Styrofoam manufacturing and oxidation/reduction process to name few.
Fertilizer production.
Ammoniated compound and organic acids created as sub micron fumes from fertilizer industry create air pollution. More usage of fertilizers had boosted up the rate of air pollution from this source.
Metals industry.
This industry involves lots of burning of fuel to melt metals, which causes huge amount of carbon dioxide released from chimney of these factories to open air.
Mining industry.
Acids gases, acid mists and sub-micron particulates are typical mining operation emission found in such industry as copper or gold ore rooting.
Paint spray.
Spray booths in automotive, golf ball, and parts application generally gives out droplets and down-stream thermal oxidizers from fouling with the non-combustible inorganic pigments.
Pharmaceutical industry.
All pharmaceutical industry gives out harmful gases and water-soluble voc that causes air and water pollution.
