Euthnasia

Usually a person will either have in his/her living will that in case they are unable to care or think for themselves that their closest relatives or spouse are to decide what is the best thing for that patient. Also a person cannot choose to end their life at the first diagnosis of a terminal disease. The person must seek treatment for the illness and show that medical help has been sought to cure or at least slow down the life-ending disease. Unlike Dr. Jack Kevorkian, assisted suicide should involve the whole family and relatives of the individual, it should not be done alone. With the empowerment of better knowledge, we nowadays make more decisions for ourselves. Of course, working intelligently with our medical advisors to come to the best decision for our case remains important. But we live in a more dangerous world. There is the scourge of AIDS, which in some cases is a terrible death. More of us die of degenerative diseases like A L S (motor neuron disease), Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzeheimer's Disease, and Osteoporosis. These wasting diseases take years to run their course - sometimes 10 to 15. Our grandparents knew very little of such diseases because they died earlier but our generations are faced with such problems predicament of either living in pain or taking the easy way out. Two out of every five of us is going to die from a degenerative disease, a statistic which is scary. The question arises if you or I was face with such a life threatening disease, where the outcome was inevitable, what would we want to do? .
Dr. Kervorkian is one of the doctors who support the euthanasia group who's practices are known worldwide. He is considered to some as a patriarch, here to serve mankind. Yet others consider him to be an evil villain, a devil's advocate so to speak. He is known as Dr. death who runs a business of killing patients, setting a death trap with a "small cost" of about $ 100,000.
