World Church Of The Creator


            The Church of the Creator (the original name of the World Church of the Creator) was the invention of Ben Klassen. Klassen was born in Ukraine and raised in Canada. Klassen announced the formation of his "church- in 1973. Klassen wrote, "We completely reject the Judeo-democratic-Marxist values of today and supplant them with new and basic values, of which race is the foundation."" The announcement of the formation of the church was coupled with the publication of a 511 page screed titled "Nature's Eternal Religion- The book was a centerpiece for the church. Under Klassen leadership Church of the Creator showed steady growth over the next ten years attracting neo-Nazi skinheads and white supremacists from across the United States and Canada. The Church of the Creator is made up of both men and women all white.
             Symbol, flag and slogans.
             The church symbol is composed of three images on a white background. A halo symbolizes that race is " unique and sacred above all other values."" A red and black crown indicates that their group forms the elite. A large black letter W stands for the white race. Their flag is made up of the church symbol on a red background. The blood red color symbolizes the churches " struggle for the survival, expansion and advancement of the white race."" There is a white triangle at the right side of the flag, which symbolizes the emergence of a " Whiter and Brighter World."" The slogan for the church members is RAHOWA, an acronym for Racial Holy War.
             Racial beliefs.
             The main belief of the church is that their race is their religion. According to members their religion and philosophy called "Creativity- is based on the external laws of nature, the experience of history, on logic and common sense. They believe that the white race is the finest achievement of nature. They have a strong hatred for Jews, Afro-Americans and basically all non-white races. They believe that the progress in society is due to the white race.
