m. Boy that made me happy! It allowed me enough time to do all my favourite things like going to the movies sometimes, promenade with my boyfriend or go to the mall where I never resisted the "call" from the many illuminated, wide shops windows that I starred like something so beautiful that seemed from outer world, or a child aiming for her pacifier with a will of crying-like-look, and most of the times I ended up going inside that beautiful "world" and purchase something. It was in one of these occasions, during spring, that I bought my favourite pair of dark green jeans capris, and favourite black and white sandals with low heels. Working definitely makes you busier and gives you less time available to study.
Most working students appear to be more concentrated in their studies when compared to students who don't finance their own education. To illustrate, another friend of mine who also worked, knowing that she didn't have much time to study, faced learning from a different angle. She made sure to try to understand most of the things in class by always intervening by asking questions all the time, and participating actively on group works, or by the way her eyes fixed on the teacher like her life depended on it or like a lion preparing to attack his preys never loosing it from it's sight. Adding another example of the concentration on studies is how I used to go to this friend's house without warning when she wasn't working, but of course she was always studying then. I tried to have conversation but they were no good, even tough she tried, her eyes seemed hypnotized by the small round black inked letters emphasized on the white background of her blue covered note-books. So I"d just walk myself out like I wasn't even there. But I understood her situation and after a while, stopped going to her house without calling and bother her. In contrast with working students, non-working students as me also tend to participate, but don't face learning as an "I-have-to-know-this-today-in-this-class" situation, because there is always more time available to review the notes at home and in case of having questions, expose them in the next class or go see another tutor.
