Hinduism And Buddhism


The last rites are the funeral ceremonies and the yearly offerings to dead ancestors. Rotating prayer wheels is a ritual of Tibetan Buddhists that sends a prayer to Buddha and gives them merit in return. The prayer wheels have inscribed mantras or sacred chants. The wheel is believed to release benevolent forces and acquire merit for the worshipper.
             Hinduism and Buddhism have a variety of different beliefs. In Hinduism you become one with Brahma Nerguna and believe in his many aspects, while in Buddhism you become one with the universe. In Buddhism, individuals also believe either in Buddha or no god at all. Hindus have rituals that come with different stages of their life. Hinduism and Buddhism, are both opposite in beliefs, and have an ultimate goal of achieving a certain place in their afterlife. .
             Taoism and Confucianism.
             Confucianism and Taoism are two very great religions of their time. Even though they do still exist today they are not as greatly prominent throughout many countries. Both Confucius and Lao Tzu were great teachers and are greatly respected for their work. Taoism and Confucianism are both very complex and important religions of their time. Both of these religions are mainly Asian religions. The creeds were more prominent during the times they were developed then today. Each of these religions had a certain belief that there way is the way that things should happen and should work so that goodness and peace will regulate in the world. .
             Confucius was the founder of Confucianism. His works were taught in the Confucian Analects. His sense of mission was to be "a human among other humans." He was willing to teach and learn with anyone who came to him, once he even accepted a youth though he said that he was not responsible for what the youth did after he left. He observed that one youth seemed to be more interested in growing up quickly than in improving himself. He expected his students to desire learning and think for themselves.
