Two famous Vatican II documents are the Gaudium et Spes and the Lumen Gentium. The Gaudium et Spes was written on December 7, 1765 and procalimed by Pope Paul, the sixth. It is the pastoral constitution on the church in the modern world. It is broken down into three sections: the situation of men in the world, the church and ma's calling, and some problems of social urgency: and speaks of about the joys, hopes and grieves of mean, especially the poor who are affiliated with those qualities. Because united with Christ they are on their road to the kingdom of God. The second one is the Lumen Gentium (Light of Nations) which is The Dogmatic Constitution on the Church. It is in two sections that talk about the mystery of the church and the people of God. It was written on November 21,1964 and it was proclaimed by Pope Paul, the sixth. Both documents are very alike both also have some differences but they both show Jesus" convental service in the modern world.
In the Mystery of the Church, the first section of the Lumen, it speaks of how Christ is the light of humanity. But that with the holy spirit, all men on earth also brighten the world. Also that the Eternal father, in accordance with the utterly graditution and myterious design of his wisdom and goodness, created the universe and chose to raise men to help him care for his divine creation. He gave us the role of stewardship. Even after Adam failed, God did not abandon us, because he loves us and absolves every sin. Christ also sent his son before the foundation of the world to us. He chose us and predestined us in the adoption of his son. It is Jesus that carried out the will of he Father and tried to bring the kingdom of heaven on earth. The holy spirit was sent on Pentecost to Jesus to help him perform on earth. Jesus proclaimed the Good News, which tired to explain the mystery and formed the church. The old testament tells scripture in symbols and now the church also tells scripture in symbols to have people understand it a bit better.
