In the fall of two thousand and one, I started my long journey at Holyoke Community College. When I first started there, I had no intention of staying. I only went to college to make my mother happy. She said that as long as I tried it, she would be happy even if I did not stay. I thought that college was the last place I wanted to be. After the first three weeks, I decided to stay and finish out the semester. .
Once the first semester was over, I gave another a chance. I decided that college was the place for me. I really did well and I also started too really like learning. It was very different then high school. They was no one there, breathing down your back to go to class. You had to want to do it. And I did. I was not a good student in high school. I seemed to really blossom in college. I still did not what I wanted to do but I know that no matter what it was I need a college degree to do it. .
I am graduating on June fifth, two thousand and four with honors and about three months ago; I finally realized what I wanted to be when I grew up. My goal is to become a Register Nurse. Elms College can help me reach this goal. I was planning to continue my education at Greenfield Community College but as I thought more about it, I realized that Elms Colleges would be the best for me. I want to get my bachelors degree, not just my associates. Please consider me for admission to Elms College for the fall of two thousand and four.
