The Thief Lord


            The main conflict in this story is Prosper and Bo against all of the obstacles in the search of a magical merry-go-round. When if you take a ride on it, it can make you younger or older but before that they have to find the missing wing that goes to the lion of the merry-go-round. They know where it is and how to get it the only thing, is that they have to steel it.   When Prosper and Bo (short for boisterous) and the gang, try to steal it they meet the owner of the missing wing.   Signora Spavento doesn't call the police but give them the wing hoping to get a glimpse the magical merry-go-round. When they gave the wing to the man who was looking for the wing, the Conte, they followed him to the Isola Segreta. The Isola Segreta was where the merry-go-round was hidden. When Scipio, the leader of the gang, takes a ride on the merry-go-round his dream came true he became older. Much older but soon he wanted to become a kid again he couldn't because he found out that the merry-go-round was broken and could not be fixed. He soon gets used to a life as being an adult. .
             The main characters in this book are Prosper and Bo. Prosper and Bo's mother died so they had to go live with their aunt and uncle, but their aunt and uncle only want Bo but they still adopt both of them. When Prosper and finds out that his aunt and uncle want to send him away to boarding school he runs away with Bo to Venice a city where he mother grew up. Prosper is the older brother he is very responsible for his age and loves his brother dearly. Bo is a young carefree child who wants nothing more than to stay with his brother in Venice. In Venice is were he meats the gang, Hornet, Riccio, and Mosca, and Scipio also known as "the Thief Lord.".
             This book is unlike any book I have ever read. It and adventure drama, and comedy all rolled into one. The author is great she keeps you hooked till the very end and the way she describes the characters and the places, its like your really there looking at them.
