When you think of a champion you think of some big name athlete who wins some kink of title. Me I think a true champion dose not need a big fan fair or lots of money I even think that a true champion doesn't even need to win.
In 1972 Prefontaine a runner from coos bay Oregon over came many odds to make the Olympics. Despite the tragedy that transpired he still ran in what is considered to be the most talented 5000 meter race to ever set foot on a track the race started out at a vary slow pace and when it came down to the last four laps Pre took off than he was passed at the 1200 meter mark only to dig down and sprint in the last 600 meters to try to win. In the closing meters he was passed bye not one not two but three fellow competitors. Prefontaines raced for the gold had he started his kick latter he would have gotten a meddle, but Pre ran for the gold. Pres last mile was run in four minuets and three seconded extremely fast even by today's standards. .
In the early 90's Disney made a movie about a young mans life. His name was roddy. His dream was to play Foot ball for NoterDame he spent his whole life every year he would try out for the team and every year they would tell him the same thing "you"re too short and too small". Until one year they let him one the team. It came down to the last game and he had not played in even one play so on the last down the coach called his name and told him to go play on the deafens. In his one and only play he managed to break the tackle with his 150 pound body and sack the Quarter back. Roddy never won a big trophy he never even made a great play, but it is my belief that he was and always will be a Champion.
