Four of them are Care Managers these staff .
Delegation 3.
members are registered nurses that are responsible for assigning the patients to field nurses. The field nurses are the employees that are out in the field and see the patients on a day to day base.
The field staff follows the orders that are given to the care managers by the doctors. They are to report back to the office. The home health aides are the employees that go to the patient home and help them with personal care. .
As the Business Office Manager I am responsible for the day to day functions of the office.
I have ten employees on my team. These people each have different assignments to complete on a daily bases. We have a receptionist that answer the phones and opens the mail. The rest of the staff does data entry for either patient information or employee time slips. As for me the administrator delegates to me what needs to be completed. I assign the task to each employee. I have chosen my staff carefully they must be accurate and timely. This company is associated with the Medicare system and everything must be in place within twenty four to forty eight hours after the patient is admitted to home health care. .
Effectively Delegating.
Delegation could be used more effectively by taking the time to plan the changes that are being discussed. The company just introduced a new software system that is word based. The corporate office made all decisions without any of the district level managers or staff being involved. Upper management stated that this system would be easier to use. The people that made the decision happened to be the information technology department. The Vice President of Operations stated that we would have training. When it came down to it, the district level was trained for one week and then no further assist was offered. I was told that I needed to know the system inside out and upside down.
