Education And Moral Belief

There is a widespread belief that people are less moral than they should be. Cheating, tax fraud, and other forms of dishonesty are commonplace. Many families are in a perilous state, with high divorce and infidelity rates, isolation between parents and children, and a lack of serious attention to moral education. Along with these problems, and partially because of them, many people lack meaningful goals. They do not know what they want from life. They accept goals defined for them by corporations, advertisers and sitcom stars. Blown by ever-shifting winds, without strong anchors, it is not surprising that family members drift apart. This is why we need to start a new revolution to stop moral decay in America. To say this is one thing, but as we all know, actions speak louder than words. A plan that will work has to start at the root of the problem and work its way up the ever-continuing time span of human life. First, at the beginning every adult with children should have a firm grasp on the age-old morals and values that once carved America's way of life. To enforce this, a refresher class will be part of a new parenting workshop. Next, we should have a yearly class at the school level for children, which will create harmony in our education system. The idea will be to enforce the positive treatment to fellow human beings in everyday life situations. Following the children's twelve years of school, we should enforce the same ideas of respect and humanity in our higher education systems and careers creating a better tomorrow with results today.
Adults in our country are too involved with the media's secular ideas and tactics. One reason for our moral decay is simply the negative role that the parent sometimes places to his/her children. A way to stop this action is to simply have a workshop that administers materials to parents in order to brush them up on what living is really all about.
