The plot of my story is about two gods that were going to marry but when they got to the wedding ceremony so that the god of marriage could make them husband and wife, the god of marriage turned at them with a sad face and told them that their marriage would not last for long because Eurydice was going to die. Orpheus couldn't believe what the god was telling him so he said: "I will marry anyhow".
So they got married and Orpheus did everything he could to stop the prophecy from coming true. But one day while Orpheus had gone to search for a better place for them to live, Eurydice went up a hill. She was looking at the beautiful flowers, and the grass, and feeling the breeze on her hair when suddenly a man was looking at her and saying to himself: " She is gorgeous, she must be mine" So he ran after her and Eurydice got very scared and ran too. She didn't remember she was barefoot and while she was running a snake bit her foot killing her instantly.
When Orpheus came back he couldn't believe that the prophecy and come true. He was very sad because he loved his wife very much. Suddenly he got an idea. He knew he could get her back by going to the underworld and bringing her back to the living world. So with much courage he set off only carrying his courage and his lyre.
When he got to the gate to the underworld a dreadful three-headed dog was looking at him menacingly and with a lot of rage. All Orpheus had to do was play his lyre and the dog became suddenly sleepy and it fainted. Orpheus kept on going when he saw a river that carried all the dead souls to eternal pain because they had not been properly buried. He saw a ferry that passed souls over the river and he called the creature that was on it he said: "Could you please help me pass to the other side?" The creature answered: "No I cannot only souls may pass this river" Then Orpheus got a great idea. He started playing his lyre and with such beautiful music the creature gave him a lift.
