Terrorism

Any one of these reasons, if not more than one, could lead people, teenagers, to commit these acts of terror. Many not even thinking about what the outcome will be; who will die, how many people will be horrified of school, how many families will be broken up? These instabilities in these kids, leads one to believe that they suffer from a bit of mental anguish, but at the same time question how someone with so many mental problems, can plot such a difficult task. Understanding how people can be affected by terror on a personal level, helps one better understand how these people as a group will react to terror.
Take for example the attacks on September 11th. Our impermeable nation was attacked on its home ground. This has not happened since December 7th, 1941, when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. These attacks made people question if they are truly safe, it made our nation as a whole feel extremely violated. Many questions arose after these attacks; how did these terrorist get into the country, where did they learn to fly, and why weren't they stopped getting on the plane. There are many reasons that are speculated on why the US was attacked. One reason believed contains strong political differences, and dates back many centuries. Many people from other countries still live under a dictator ship, and these groups of people, not only disagree with the political beliefs of the US, but will do anything to stop them, and make our country seem weak. Due to the attacks on September 11th, not only has the world changed, but the US was strongly affected. Many people refuse to go to any major city, because they fear for their lives. Since September 11th, the country has come up with a terror rating system which fluctuates due to many things; religious holidays, large scale events, and national holidays. As a nation, security measures have drastically risen, with the use of metal detectors, hiring more security personnel, and even appointing a political figure, to create a Home Land Security division.
